Then there’s Noah. Your old friend remembers everything: your jokes, your ambitions, and perhaps that almost-kiss on the cinema roof. He’s determined to keep his grandfather’s cinema alive, and he talks about your return as though you might stay.

Eli, the documentary filmmaker capturing the reopening, offers a different kind of possibility. Funny, attentive, and ambitious, he understands your desire for something beyond your hometown. But when someone makes a living finding a compelling story, it can be difficult to tell where professional interest ends and personal interest begins.
